Albion Online T3 Newbie: First 5 hour impression
So I've invested 5 hours in the beta so far and I'm slowly falling in love with this game, AND becoming addicted. I'm going to go through the pros and the things i absolutely love. Actually, if it's a PRO I love it. And then I'll talk about a few things that bother me. Maybe someone knows something I don't about the game.
Pros:
The crafting feels like Ultima Online.
The gear system, stats, and abilities being tied to gear and tiers. Awesome concept.
The destiny board, OMG I'm free of Class and level design. Thanks Albion Online Devs!!! You're one of few developers that strayed from the WoW clones.
Local Banking - I found this out by dumb luck and at first it sucked. But when I realized what happened I was like, OMG this is so realistic I'm glad it's in the game. But local banking. So if you leave your stuff in one bank town it's not going to be at the next town over. This is so realistic. lol I love it. It totally made me understand the need for ox drivers I see so frequently on the roads.
I haven't reached yellow and red zone pvp yet but judging from the play style of the game and fighting mobs and such I think i will like it. And I so miss the full loot pvp of oldstyle publish 16 Ultima Online days.
I haven't had a lot of client issues in the beta. In fact, the 5 hours i played I only had one client crash and I think it was just an internet drop cause I just got logged out.
Cons:
I cannot find any gear aesthetic customization options? Maybe I didn't dwelve into it enough but are there armor dyes or something similar to change looks?
Customization overall seems lacking. From item looks, to making your character in the beginning. I get the characters are already small but a few more hair styles and skin tones wouldn't hurt.
Graphics - the shadows seem jumpy sometimes. And I notice some abilities seem, jerky. Is smoothing out the graphics build in the cards?
I tried out the player island. I've never been a fan of instanced zones. I guess it depends on the future of it. For RP sake lets say I wanted to make an entire undead town on my island. In the future maybe?
Is it me or there a total lack of music. All the zones I've gone to, it's quiet. Dead quiet.

When I booted up Albion for the stress test - Better, or worse?
All because someone gets 50% more albion online silver because they paid money? Feel free to disagree, but that looks an awful lot like paying to be better off than your competitors.

Should I Upgrade To Premium Status In Albion Online?
You may be tempted to look into upgrading your character to Premium Status. Sure saying your character is Premium Status sounds all kinds of epic, but it is actually worth it?

Proper character development Albion Online guide
First, accept the fact you can't do everything and you were never supposed to be able to do everything. This is a team oriented game focused around limited resources and player driven local economies

Thoughts for those albion changes
Fast travel will be possible in GREEN areas and not in red, black, yellow zones. Also the sneak peak contained the info that there will be fees depending on the weight you carry. Many seem to ignore that all and are acting hysterical.

I don't quite understand this about the Albion Online
It seems odd to me that someone looking to kill players who are not looking for a fight (but the game mechanics have driven them into PvP zones)

Albion Online Silver unnecessarily high?
A fix to that could be forcing the player to always buy at-least 1silver per of the stack at a time. So maby you will be getting 2-5 of the resource for your 1 Albion Online silver instead of 1.
