Albion Online timezones issues
I am not quite certain how are any of you forced to GvG during 4 am with the old system? It's not how it worked in the first place. You simply took the 4 hour time window that you desired for your territories, and nobody could attack you outside of those (In other words, nobody could force you to GvG during 4 am.) You stay up for the exact same time as you stay up with the current system.
Additionally with the counterattack system in place, you can always try to capture enemy territories during your desired time should you ever be attacked by an opponent that's trying to make better use of 4 am barriers.
The 4 am issue only applied to offensive GvGs (Which once again isn't forced since it's you who's attacking), and even that wasn't very common.
Now compare that to the new system. The old system may have slightly hindered your ability to attack whatever guild you're having a war with but atleast you got in some GvGs in. The new system on the other hand is guaranteed to not allow you to get even one GvG in because your opponent isn't anywhere near you to GvG at. Instead, you'll get a bunch of new guilds next to topdogs that go uncontested and feast on them as if it was some round buffet table, newer guilds quitting because they lost their base and topdogs quitting because there is no competition. This is a lot worse than the small possibility of having an opponent with 4 am territories.
Either way, we don't know the details of the new system that's coming, but based on what we've heard so far I am fairly certain it's closer to the older one.
Removing timezones will guarantee that only large scale international guild will be able to do anything in this game. If I was a larger force fighting a smaller force I'd just harass the smaller force in a timezone I know they either can't defend in or will send their lowest tier team. Even worse, it will mean that guilds of the same timezone will have no reason to live near each other. So if I live in Baile Braigh which is the current USTZ city, I could be in the same city as another 40 man guild yet we would rarely, if ever, actually meet each other because they would be in EUTZ and mine in the USTZ. It'd thin the game out and just further empower the zerg guilds that can steadily have international coverage, while harming smaller guilds that can't support multiple timezones.

A real problem in Albion Online is seeing exactly where the enemy mobs are, and sometimes, even that they are there at all.

I adore pvp that requires skill and strategy and if I could get fame towards weapons and armor solely from killing players I would.

I really want to say, game doesn't require skill. It's runescape... Game requires time/patience/grinding/zerg tactics.

How are guilds much bigger than mine going to decide where to settle if we wouldn't be able to with just 30 members?

First, accept the fact you can't do everything and you were never supposed to be able to do everything. This is a team oriented game focused around limited resources and player driven local economies
