Kill Albion Online players and get fame

I'll be honest...

I hate farming mobs.

I hate gathering.

I hate crafting.

I hate trading.

I LOVE PVP.

Does SBI have any plans to make it so that people who enjoys only doing PvP will be able to farm fame killing people? I know there are problems of how people might abuse this system but I believe that if we put your mind to it, we may be able to find a solution. If you do this SBI, I'll be the happiest man on this planet. Thank you and have a nice day.

 

I know a few people who grinded mobs to T4, and then PvP'd until they famed up, one in particular who made it to 5.3 doing this. It's however time consuming and requires that you get ALL of the killshots/solo PvP as that's the only way you'll be getting enough fame to actually level anything well.

 

Also, this was done prior to the fame rework and I don't know how well it would work now versus then. You could never accomplish this as a healer, or a tank really as you don't get any reward(fame) for your contribution. The only one who would get the fame is the guy who gets the last hit in.

 

I suppose if they fix the assist/healing fame issues and you ran a small group at launch quickly getting to t4 and then pvping in red zones while leveling you could level up your skills strictly through PvP.. but at the moment doing that before t4+ wouldn't make any sense as the green/red zones don't give fame for knocking someone down and I doub't you'd wanna be PvPing in a red zone in T2 gear....

 

It would be nice if they had hell gates for every tier of gear, that had full loot PvP and allowed people to PvP/PvE to gain fame. I think that was the direction with the hell gates (x4 fame x4 Albion Online silver). The PvE Would be minor, and hopefully you'd find enough fights to make it count.

 

If they put something like this in, and made it so the group got fame for assisting/healing etc then It would totally work... and offer a "gateway" to PvP

that is completely optional but looks appealing to try.

 

It also gets people out in the world, working together and used to the GvG/5v5 mechanics in place for taking/defending territories.

Build up your "team" of 5 players who work/play together and fame farm hell gates while getting pvp fights (it's always 5 enemies so even fights)

and practice working together towards the goal of being able to hold your own in a fight.

 

You could also flag up in a yellow zone, have some friends/people in your party that are killing monsters while you PvP to hold down the spawn for them... as long as you stay close enough to the guys killing the mobs you'd split fame, and both parties would benefit. This worked better when the mobs had more fame the longer they were up, as it meant you could "lock down" a spawn and take your time clearing it.

There are no viable passives for arcane mage playstyle

The problem with this playstyle at the moment is that it hugely lacks synergy with nearly every single passive on the game... even the great arcane staffs passives are borderline useless as they provide cast speed or energy regeneration.

Weapon Types vs Armor suggestion

I will say that my suggestion forks also with magic types: i.e fire magic will do more damage to cloth and less damage to plate, while ice magic will do less damage to leather and more to plate.
